To tell the story of cuisine is to tell the story of mothers—the first kitchen. Its history is archived in the body that moved between the pains of childbirth and the transformation of those pains into rhythms of survival. Cooking, cleaning, caring: she invented the practical dances of everyday life, the foundation upon which all forms of colonialism were later built. The performance took form in a collective creation directed by Pepê Dayaw and presented at the Delphi Theater in 2019.
