Raíz

Baderna is currently unfolding within the Raíz residency, in collaboration with the Kalipety Indigenous community in Parelheiros (São Paulo), and will continue with the Kamayurá people in the Xingu (Mato Grosso) Initially focused on documenting dance rituals and traditions, Lívia's encounter with Jera Guarani brought a subtle shift in direction. Her approach to Raíz began to center more deeply on the theme of empathy—explored through a lens of genuine meaning, sophistication and finesse. It became a powerful statement on what these words can truly represent. The work brings to light the need to reconstruct our understanding of elegance and politeness. It is currently being further developed in collaboration with videographer Caio de Siervi Barcellos, with future plans to share this perspective through performance, dialogue, and exchange.
